Email 		Your wedding gown is too important for you to take a chance on where the purchase is made. We strongly recommend that you purchase from a well established, service-oriented speciality shop. Since 1987, according to the National Bridal Service, over 3,000 new bridal stores and "discount dealers" have opened in the U.S. and over 3,000 have closed. Saving a few dollars is not worth the risk of being disappointed on your wedding day.

S.G. Bridal is a full-service specialty shop with outstanding recommendations. We are also "price conscious" - offering some limited edition gowns at a savings of 30% and more. Since we purchase these gowns at a savings, we do not have to sacrifice service.

Beware of shops that offer to order your gown at a discount. These shops have to make up that lost profit somewhere. It may be through giving you less service, charging you for shipping, charging for gown bags, charging more for alterations, charging more on other accessory purchases, etc. Some stores even use the misleading pricing techniques (such as: Recommended Price:$750.00 Our Price: $550.00)

  • Beware of anyone who requires payment in full up front.

  • Beware of anyone who wants to send your gown to you by mail without first inspecting the gown and accepting responsibility for accuracy of order and quality.

  • Beware of anyone who does not have a legitimate store front location.

  • Beware of anyone who does not offer to coordinate alteration services.

  • Beware of anyone who does not measure you and accept responsibility for determining proper size to order.

  • Beware of anyone who tells you to try on gowns in a full-service store and then come back to them to order.

Many brides today shop outside their home town, in other states, over the internet and by calling advertised "800" telephone numbers. Many have lost money and experienced great disappointments. We hope the "cautions" we have presented will help you make a more informed and more cautions decision on where to purchase your special gown and enable the selection to be a happy experience for you.
